Totally stoked to share how pumped we are with the work Ben at LogoMojo did for The Single Fin Bistro. We came to Ben with a pretty specific vibe in mind – something that screamed 60s surf culture, but still felt fresh enough to pull in the modern-day beach crew. He absolutely nailed it. From the first chat, it was like he just got it. Super chill to work with, totally open to bouncing ideas around, and honestly, it felt more like speaking with a mate than some formal design process.
The logo? Man, it's pure retro gold. That groovy font hits you with instant nostalgia, and the way he slipped the single fin board into the lettering? Genius. It’s subtle but slick – like a little Easter egg for anyone who knows their surf history. It’s funky, it’s fun, and it looks epic splashed across everything from our sign to the takeaway coffee cups.
Since we dropped the new branding, the response has been unreal. Locals love it, tourists are snapping pics of the sign, and we’ve had a serious uptick in foot traffic. People are vibing with what we’re about before they even step inside. If you’re looking to bring your brand to life with some serious soul and style, Ben at LogoMojo is your guy.

The Brief
Tasked with creating a 60s beach vibe logo for a new beachside surfing bistro, the goal was to design something fresh, funky, and deeply resonant with the surfing community. A crucial element was the integration of the classic single fin surfboard, a defining icon of the 1960s surf culture.

The Solution
This logo design project was a blast! To immediately capture the desired sixties aesthetic, a groovy font was carefully selected. However, the magic truly happened with the incorporation of the surfboard. By cleverly using an underline shaped like a side-on surfboard and extending the tail of the letter 'g', the surfboard element was seamlessly woven into the wordmark. Strategic cutouts were then applied to refine the surfboard's silhouette and enhance the overall readability of the logo. The result is a funky logo that perfectly blends retro charm with a fresh and appealing visual identity, tailor-made for a beachside surfing bistro and its target audience.
