An inclusive and colourful logo rebrand for a beautiful company
I am incredibly proud of the logo Ben created, knowing that clients will connect with it and feel represented. It truly reflects my business and vision. The Brief
Neurodivergent Universe approached me seeking a refresh of their existing logo. While the core concept held potential, the design suffered from inconsistencies and underdeveloped key elements. The primary goals for this logo redesign were to create a gender-neutral, modern, professional, and, most importantly, an inclusive logo that resonates with the neurodivergent community. Recognising that young neurodivergent girls often face underdiagnosis, a gender-neutral design was paramount.
The Solution
My solution involved a significant refinement of the existing elements. The original colour palette, leaning towards blues and yellows, was replaced with a more neutral and readable darker shade of green, immediately enhancing gender neutrality and visual clarity. To streamline the design and create a stronger visual impact, I integrated the separate elements. The stars above the 'i's and the disjointed infinite loop were unified into a more prominent and easily recognisable infinity loop, a well-known symbol representing neurodiversity. This infinity loop was cleverly combined with a shooting star, symbolising the "Universe" aspect of the name, with its tail seamlessly forming the letter 'd'.
Furthermore, the font selection was carefully considered to project both strength and approachability for "Neurodivergent Universe," resulting in a more modern and professional logo design. This logo redesign successfully addressed the initial inconsistencies, creating a visually cohesive and meaningful brand identity that is both inclusive and impactful.
